Who is responsible

Joppe Widstam, ABC-gatan 11, 30251 Halmstad, Sweden is responsible for your personal data on Marginal. Contact us at joppe@widstam.se.

What we collect and why

• Your email address and a hash of your password, to run your account and send you account emails (email confirmation, password resets, and a reminder before your free trial ends).
• Your learning progress (which lessons you've done, review dates, XP), so it's saved across devices.
• Subscription status. Payments are handled by Stripe; we store only Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers, never your card details.
• Server logs (pages requested and errors; our hosting provider also sees your IP address) for security and troubleshooting, kept for a short time.

We process this data to provide the service you signed up for. We don't sell it, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers.

Cookies

We use one cookie, which keeps you signed in. It's strictly necessary, so we don't ask for consent.

Who else handles your data

• Stripe processes payments and keeps billing records.
• Resend delivers our emails.
• Our hosting provider stores the database and runs the servers.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when it loads them.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and progress until you delete your account, which you can do from your account page at any time. Billing records are kept as long as bookkeeping law requires.

Your rights

You can download your progress and delete your account yourself from the account page. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or erase it, by writing to joppe@widstam.se. If you think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to your data protection authority.
